Small tracks are not a favorite of mine but they do provide some amazing wrecks. As I am sitting here it is about an hour or so before the race starts at Bristol. It has been rainy and stormy the whole weekend and yesterdays Nationwide race had to be cut short. The storms that hit the area hard especially the downtown Atlanta area with the f2 tornado are seeming like they are out of the picture and racing will be normal.
Did I just put the words normal and racing in the same sentence that is going to be far from the truth today. The rain has taken all the rubber off the worlds fastest half mile and that should provide a slick course. I didn’t even mention the tire issue which is seeming to be an issue of late.
Jeff Gordon was complaining during the practice session that this tire is not right for the course. I am looking forward to seeing the race being that it’s Dale Jarrets last points race. I hope that the tire issue doesn’t hurt his chances today.

The racing certainly didn’t disapoint us. It seems like we always have a crash and a green white checker finish.

That was a crazy race! The last few laps the race changed completely…. that’s why we love NASCAR, nothing is predictable.
