Ah yes, the place where dreams are made…because everyone is sleeping during the race!
Come on NASCAR, what is the big draw for this track? I don’t think they’ve ever sold out even in the best economic times. (I could be wrong on that but I’m just making a point) Let’s face it people- nobody really likes Pocono. One race here is tolerable but two is just over the top.
Show me a person who likes Pocono Raceway and I’ll show you a person who gets excited over receiving junk mail.
Any race that comes to rely on what I’ve come to call PDCs (Phantom Debris Cautions) for any sort of action needs to be reevaluated. Is it really necessary for them to have two races there? Do they even sell enough tickets to the second race to make them both worth having?
NASCAR claims to be all about giving the fans what they want. So give us what we want, NASCAR! Wipe off one of the races at Pocono or Fontana and bring back Rockingham!
NASCAR, I don’t think your problem is in the way you restart or even in the new car. I think your problem is a combination of everything. The cars, the restarts…and the tracks.
It is time to listen to the fans and to give the fans what they want.

Now, I don’t really have a problem with Pocono…it is a good time to sleep (*wink*). But you’re right. It would be nice to get rid of one of them and bring back Rockingham. I wasn’t a diehard fan the last year NASCAR ran at Rockingham, so I don’t know the true joy of it, but I know the history of the sport and would love to see it added BACK to the Cup schedule.
(I’m also bias about Pocono…only when Kahne is running well LOL)

I like Pocono. It’s the NASCAR track closest to where I live (within an hour). Enough said.

I like Pocono also, any track that isn’t a road course or a little track I am in favor of. Do they need two races there I don’t think so, I wouldn’t be so fast to give a race to Rockingham though.
