After last weeks fiasco in Indianapolis and the Nationwide race in the rain in Montreal it is going to be nice to finally watch some real Nascar racing. The weather looks great for today’s race and with the large backstretch I am sure we will see some real speeds for a change.
There will be no competition yellow flags every 8 laps and no 40 mph driving in the rain. It is Nascar racing the way I think it should be. I am expecting a lightning fast track under sunny skies that will play in the drivers quest for speed. As for the race I have the feeling this will be a good week for Dale Jr and Carl Edwards.
Hendrick Motorsports cars always seem to be good on this track also. You can never count Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. I am hoping for some exciting racing, I expect Kyle Busch to lead most of the race until he blows a motor as his driving style is too rough for the track. We will just have to wait and see.

That was a fun race!! Funny you predicted Carl Edwards to do well, Tony Stewart did great too! And Jimmy Johnson held on to 3rd.

Thanks for stopping by NASCAR Bloggers FT Digest (the “FT” stands for Full Throttle in case you were wondering, it just wouldn’t fit in the registration that way) and leaving a comment. We try our best to follow comments, but don’t always get around.
I’m still fired up for Richmond, but this delay kind of dampens the anticipation.
